The projects he leads frequently demand deft management of myriad stakeholders and strategic priorities. He wrote the UK’s ‘Good practice guide for providers using education agents’ in collaboration with BUILA, UKCISA and UUKi.
He’s been heavily involved in the development and rollout of the UK’s Agent Quality Framework, which includes a suite of good practice guides for agents, students and institutions, alongside a new code of ethical practice for agents. He’s also been working closely with the British Council to redevelop their agent training provision and launch their new online agent communication hub.
While agent management strategies and systems are a particular focus for Chris, he also has extensive experience in international student recruitment, partnership development, executive education and student mobility.
He shares his knowledge with the entire sector. Chris regularly presents and facilitates workshops on agent management for various audiences, including agents and counsellors, universities, schools, English language providers and pathway colleges.
His sharp perspectives and his capacity to go about his work without fuss produces solutions clients find incredibly useful.

Before Edified
Chris began his career in International Admissions at London South Bank University. He project-managed a suite of management courses for international professionals at the London Business School. He was a key part of the team that redesigned, relaunched and managed the University of Westminster’s international study abroad program. And he was International Marketing, Recruitment & Partnerships Manager at Bournemouth University, managing the East and South East Asia recruitment team, and driving significant recruitment growth from the region.
After hours
Chris’s ability to provide a well-judged viewpoint on tricky issues and forge connections between individuals is reflected in his skill as a qualified cricket coach. His borderline obsessive love of cricket – and of the world at large – spurred him to take his (also cricket-loving) family on a long-term adventure to the other side of the world so they could experience something new. Avid backpackers, they’re always looking for the next frontier, as long as the sun and sea are involved. And when the sun’s obscured by clouds, you’ll find him exploring the culture and history (and pubs) of his new hometown, Bristol.
